EFCC To Prosecute Sanusi Over Alleged Multi-Billion Frauds.
The Suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, may be prosected by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged acts of financial recklessness in under administration’s as CBN’s head.
Mallam Sanusi was involved in a Generational fraud at CBN summed over N248billion and even at defrauding the Bayero University of Kano. He gave the University N1b, but collected N4billion from the accounts of the CBN. University have confirmed that they received only N1b.
According to sources close to the Presidency, it was disclosed that Sanusi may be invited this week for questioning on the allegations against him.
President Goodluck Jonathan had last Thursday suspended Sanusi as the CBN Governor and appointed the most senior Deputy Governor of the bank, Sarah Alade, as acting Governor of the bank until the conclusion of ongoing investigations into breaches of enabling laws, due process and mandate of the CBN. - Hope For Nigeria.
